If you just caught up with Allan Kingdom in the wake of him joining Kanye West onstage at the Brit Awards to perform "All Day," let us catch you up. The Winnipeg-born, St. Paul-bred Kingdom raps like someone who digested the genre-warping opening salvos from the likes of Kid Cudi and Chance the Rapper, but warped them through his own lens, pushing the form to be as kinetic or as moody as he needs to channel the bitter Minnesota winters. On "Keep It Easy," he flexes his considerable talents as a vocalist, bending his voice into corners that most young, buzzing rappers would tread through lightly.

Kingdom's 2014 mixtape, Future Memoirs is available now; it's a dense, dynamic listen and features contributions from Bobby Raps, Corbin (formerly Spooky Black) and Psymun. Together the four form TheStand4rd, the quartet who set DJ Khaled's email inbox on fire late last year with their self-titled debut.
