After engulfing in a heated Twitter battle with his ex, Nick Minaj, this weekend, Safaree Samuels seems to be capitalizing off of the moment, by releasing new material. The rapper uploaded two new songs on his Soundcloud last night titled "I'm Dope" and "Burner."

The new music comes as no surprise. Following the break-up, Samuels has been extremely vocal about his desire to obtain a steady career as a rapper, and Minaj has even given him her blessing. "Wanted fame. I gave you my blessing. I still love. I still love. I still love. I'll always love. So disappointed," tweeted Minaj during the Twitter exchange.

The former couple appeared to be going at each other over Safaree's desire to conduct interviews. He claimed that the press was only to build hype surrounding his upcoming project. There was also mention of blackmail and threats. At one point Nicki tweeted, "NO ONE PUTS FEAR IN MY HEAT. Cuz I know God is real!!!! He's seen me be loyal to the point ppl said I was stupid. So dig your GRAVE!"

Following the release of her third studio LP, The Pinkprint, the YMCMB spitter has been extremely open about her past relationship with Safaree, something that she's never done. In an interview with Angie Martinez, Minaj broke down when questioned about the relationship, expressing that the two have been together for nearly 15 years.
