T-Pain undoubtedly has been working hard on Stoicville, his long-delayed fifth album. He's been dropping a number of freebies and won a few listeners over with his excellent stripped-down performance at NPR's Music Desk Concert. But we weren't hearing much about Stoicville's progress.

The title track was a confirmed song of what could be T-Pain's finest album. The video comes a day after T-Pain wowed with his hookless performance.

T-Pain's artistic growth beyond the club has spread onto his videos. He directs a clip that takes us from a close-up in the middle of a bank robbery to a black-and-white montage of performances and sessions. The bank robbery scene is tad more provocative.

So the dude has been gaining some fans, but will he deliver when Stoicville: The Phoenix drops? The project doesn't have a release date yet.
