There's always something intriguing about a Chicago artist who blends street gratification with a tinge of social awareness. Lil Herb did an excellent job of showing those two sides in the remix to "Fight or Flight," but he cuts back on the latter with "Frankie Lymon."

Over pulsating production that sounds like Giorgio Moroder's Scarface soundtrack set in Chicago, Lil Herb delivers a very in-the-moment performance referencing his right to bear arms, being Mr. Nice Watch and just hustling. For some background, Frankie Lymon was part of a '50s boy group known as The Teenagers. He passed away at 25 after overdosing on heroin, so the live fast philosophy may not be the way.

Lil Herb's Ball Like Im Kobe is coming soon.
