Producer Apollo Brown is having a prolific year. Having already dropped his remix EP with Planet Asia, Abrasions: Stitched Up, in January, Brown dropped his solo album, Thirty Eight, last week on his Mello Music Group label, home to Oddisee, Rapper Big Pooh and Gensu Dean, among others. Comprised of 20 instrumentals, Brown also included two tracks on the project's deluxe edition, both featuring verses from Roc Marciano. Today XXL premieres the first of those two songs, a grimy, soul-inflected track called "Lonely And Cold" which features Marciano channeling his inner Raekwon to spit fire from a street perspective.

Marciano has been riding high off the success of his Marci Beaucoup album which dropped last December and further established him as a gritty rhymer who is not to be slept on. His The Pimpire Strikes Back mixtape, released in November just a month before Marci Beaucoup, was also well-received. In April of last year, he was also named vice president and director of A&R at his label, Man Bites Dog Records.
