R. Kelly has tried to stay off of the internet following his explosive interview with CBS' Gayle King. Although he hasn't addressed his fans directly since the interview went viral, the embattled singer did take the time out to hop on Instagram to sing to his estranged daughter Joann Kelly for her birthday.

In the video, which was posted on Tuesday (March 19), Kelly appears as if he's walking around outside when he busts out with a birthday song for Joann.

"Happy birthday baby. Daddy loves you. I love you so much no matter what," Kelly said at the end of his video. He disabled the comments for the post.

It's not clear whether Joann, who now goes by Buku Abi, accepted the warm wishes, but it doesn't seem likely. Back in January, Abi spoke out against her father and called him a monster amid the allegations made in Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly docuseries.

“My mother [R. Kelly's ex-wife Andrea Kelly], siblings, and I would never condone, support or be apart of ANYTHING negative he has done and continues to do in his life,” she wrote. "The same monster you all confronting me about is my father. I am well aware of who and what he is,” she continued. “I grew up in that house. My choice to not speak on him and what he does is for my peace of mind. My emotional state. And for MY healing. I have to do and move in a manner that is best for me.”

As his current sexual abuse case rages on, Kelly is out on bond after another generous donor got him out of jail again. Kelly went back behind bars after he failed to pay $161,663 of the $194,000 he owes his ex-wife Andrea Kelly in back child support. The beleaguered singer was released shortly after the payment cleared.

Kelly still faces 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He's pleaded not guilty to all charges.
