Before the 2019 XXL Freshman Class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting will launch on March 25, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2019 XXL Freshman cover.

Queen Key is as nasty as she wanna be. That unapologetic tenor has helped her stand out from the crowd. Calling Chicago home, the 22-year-old rapper started gaining noticeable traction back in 2015 when she put out the buzz-worthy tracks “Hit a Lic” and “Baked As a Pie,” and hasn’t looked back. Mixing salacity, comedic wit and bars, she showcased her talents on subsequent projects Beauty in a Beast (2017), Your Highness (2017) and Your Highness 2 (2017).

The risqué release Eat My Pussy EP, which turned heads when it was dropped last June, features Dreezy, Tink, Cuban Doll and King Louie, and contains her breakout single “My Way.” Fellow Windy City native G Herbo hopped on the remix of the popular track and also let Key open up for his Swervo Tour last fall. Her new EP Eat My Pussy Again is slated for an April release. Raunch the throne.
