Notorious “Wrestles” Its Way To The Top Of The DVD Charts

The legacy of Big lives on triumphantly as Notorious took the top spot in Nielsen’s DVD sales chart in its debut week, beating out the likes of critically acclaimed The Wrestler and tween favorite Twilight, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Executive produced by Diddy, Biggie’s mother Violetta Wallace and former manager Mark Pitts, the biopic has grossed about $36 million at the box office and an additional $6 million overseas to date.

Notorious tells the story of the legendary Brooklyn rap star's rise to fame. Starring Jamal Woolard, better known as Gravy, as the lead, the film also features Angela Bassett, Derek Luke, and Anthony Mackie in prominent roles. – Devin Chanda
