Nike will pay tribute to the legacy of former Los Angeles Laker, Kobe Bryant, with a special set of retirement jerseys releasing this holiday season. Commemorating the Black Mamba’s former jersey numbers, No. 8 and No. 24, the Swoosh's release of the jerseys will coincide with his retirement ceremony that's set for Mon., Dec. 18.

According to J23’s Twitter account, the jerseys will be packaged in a special clear window touch box with a magnetic closure. Taking note from the Lakers' signature yellow and purple colors, the jerseys are stamped with Kobe’s nickname, "Black Mamba" on the tag area. The designed is followed by five purple stars, representing the five NBA Championship titles Kobe won with the Lakers on Dec. 18, which is also the date of Kobe’s retirement ceremony.

At this year’s ComplexCon, Nike honored the Black Mamba with the release of a limited edition all-white Los Angeles Lakers Kobe jersey. Sold out in a matter of minutes, the rare jerseys can now be found on eBay for quadruple the original price.

The limited edition Nike Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant retirement jerseys will release on Mon., Dec. 18, for a whooping $524.08 each. Check out the jerseys in the Twitter post below.
