ORIGINAL STORY:

After spending a few days in the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta for the alleged assault of his girlfriend, YK Osiris is a free man.

The 2019 XXL Freshman was released from custody on Saturday (Nov. 9). According to Fulton County Jail records, YK was granted a $150,000 bond after previously being denied bail. He let his newfound freedom be known on Instagram. In a since-deleted IG Live post, the crooner is seen riding in the back of a vehicle while Akon's "Locked Up" plays in the background. The artist appears carefree as he makes faces into the camera and sings along with the lyrics. At one point, he hangs halfway out of the window and continues to record while the vehicle rolls down the interstate.

As previously reported, YK was arrested on Nov. 4 because of an incident that reportedly took place back on Sept. 7. The "Worth It" singer is accused of attacking his girlfriend following his birthday party in Atlanta. According to the report, the incident started when the woman discovered a photo of another woman wearing nothing but a towel on the Florida native's phone.

That escalated to a shouting match where YK reportedly threatened to slap the woman. She then claims she retreated to a bathroom where YK choked her and bit her on the face before she was able to get away. Police noted marks on her face consistent with her story. YK was hit with a felony charge of aggravated assault by strangulation.

YK Osiris released his major label debut album, The Golden Child, in October. The new release features guest appearances from Tory Lanez, Russ, Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani and more.
