Reps for Kodak Black are reportedly pointing to foul play as the reason for the rapper's fight in prison.

According to a report TMZ published on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 14), reps for the 22-year-old rapper, who was sentenced to 46 months in prison for lying on legal documents used to purchase firearms yesterday, say someone drugged the rapper 20 minutes before he got into a fight with an inmate and a badly injured a prison staff member who attempted to get involved.

They say video of Kodak 20 minutes before the fight shows the rapper drinking coffee. Kodak's reps reportedly think someone placed a chemical substance into his coffee and that the substance caused him to lose control and fight. One of TMZ's sources says an FBI agent testified that witnesses said Kodak appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the fight.

An insider tells the celebrity news site that Kodak was the one who kick-started the brawl with another inmate and a corrections officer sprayed the rapper with mace. Sources say that it took several prison guards to subdue Kodak.

A corrections officer was hurt during the melee. According to a report from Miami Herald, Kodak is accused of grabbing the officer's testicles and refusing to let go, which ultimately resulted in the officer needing surgery.

During his sentencing on Wednesday, the judge scolded Kodak for his wrongdoing in his legal case. According to a report from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, U.S. District Court Judge Federico Moreno told the rapper, “Young people do stupid things, but the problem is that you’ve been doing stupid things since you were 15.”

Before receiving his sentence, the Dying to Live rapper apologized to the judge for his actions. “I’m sorry for the actions that led me for where I’m standing,” Kodak said. "I do take full responsibility for my mishap.”
