Although Kodak Black is behind bars, it’s not stopping him from giving back to his Florida hometown.

On Tuesday (Nov. 26), Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, shared on his Instagram account an image of gift cards from Publix grocery store spread across a table. In the caption, Mr. Cohen announced that Kodak is giving thousands of dollars in gift cards to needy families in Florida's Broward and Dade County area this holiday season.

"@kodakblack as usual with every Thanksgiving and Christmas starts gifting early and this year, besides giving to charitable organizations like recently providing thanking dinner to 75 needy families for Paradise Childcare, childcare for low income families in need...he is giving away 1000s of dollars in Publix gift cards directly to needy families in Broward and Dade County for Thanksgiving," he wrote. "You might be surprised by someone walking up to you on the street and handing you a gift card to Publix, Walmart or Target. He cont. even from jail the determination trying to give back everyday."

The same image was shared on Kodak's Instagram page as well. The Dying to Live rapper, who was sentenced to 46 months in prison on federal firearm charges last week, has always given back in a variety of charitable ways in the past. Back in May, Kodak offered to pay for the funeral services of Kendrick Castillo, a Colorado teen who was killed while trying to stop a shooter at the STEM School Highlands Ranch in Denver on May 7. He also donated $10,000 to the Jack & Jill Children's Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in October 2018.
