Madlib teases another unreleased song from the late Mac Miller.

Over the weekend (July 6), Madlib performed at MoMa PS1 in Queens alongside Freddie Gibbs, Pardison Fontaine and more. During his set, Madlib played a brand new, unreleased collaboration featuring Miller. In the song, Mac attacks the horn-heavy instrumental with his signature dope wordplay that will be forever missed by fans around the world.

"I'm doing EP's in one day, sober right now but I'll be back by Sunday," Mac Miller raps at the beginning of his first verse.

The song is the second Mac record Madlib has teased after Miller died of an accidental drug overdose last September. Back in March, Madlib previewed his unreleased collaboration with Mac and Thundercat. During his DJ set at Music Box in San Diego, Calif., 'Lib served up a huge surprise by debuting the previously-unreleased song.

"Fuck the bitch, met her once/Think she the one 'cause I met her at a record shop/We start from a line then connect the dots/I'm forever hot," Mac spits on that record.

Mac's latest song may come from Maclib, which is said to be his joint EP with Madlib. The posthumous project was revealed by Thelonious Martin, who recalled how he found out about it back in February.

“So I’m trying to focus and DJ, and Madlib gets on and 15 minutes into his set he just randomly plays a Mac Miller joint,” Martin explained in an interview with DJ Booth. “And I turn to him, I’m like, ‘There’s more of these, right?’ He’s said, ‘Oh, yeah, there’s a whole album. Maclib.’ What! What! He just kept moving on with his DJ set. If Madlib decides to bless the world with that project, he should.”

While the world is still rocking to Madlib and Freddie Gibbs' Bandana album, there's still no confirmed release date for Maclib. For now, catch the live debut of Lib's new track featuring the late Mac Miller below.
