There were plenty of great performances at the 2019 BET Awards on Sunday night (June 23), but one of the most talked about moments was Offset’s superior dancing skills during the opening of the show.

Offset along with his wife, Cardi B, kicked off the event in grand style with a performance of “Clout” and “Press,” respectively. During Offset’s performance, viewers at home were shocked to see the rapper dance in-step with his background dancers without missing a beat. From marching to the beat, to doing the body roll, to pop locking in sync with his dancers, fans felt that they were watching the second coming of Michael Jackson.

"OFFSET GOT MOVES I GOT A ADVANTAGE IMA DO MORE CHOREOGRAPHY," the Migos rapper wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday (June 23). He then added in all caps, "MORE THAN A RAPPER I ENTERTAIN."

A fun fact that people probably don't know is that when Offset was a kid, he was a backup dancer for Whitney Houston. In fact, he appeared in the late pop icon's video for her 2002 single "Whatchulookinat." The song was featured on fifth studio album, Just Whitney.

Fans were so impressed with Offset's dance moves they saluted him on his Twitter timeline.

"A lot of people don’t know Offset was a dancer way before rapping," informed one fan. Another person wrote, "Bring that vibe back ... you’re underrated, most people still don’t know you’re hella talented @OffsetYRN Do the culture with the dance moves."

Another fan wrote, "Offset MJ2" to describe Offset as Michael Jackson 2.0.

Offset may be known more for his mic skills than his dancing, but it’s clear he delivered an electrifying performance and shocked his fans in the process. Check out more fan reactions to his dancing skills below.
