Machine Gun Kelly kicked off his Hotel Diablo Tour in the most audacious way: Performing his Eminem diss, "Rap Devil," in the rapper's hometown of Detroit last Saturday (June 1).

On Monday (June 3), the Cleveland-based rapper used his Instagram account to share a video thanking his Detroit fans for supporting him, and in it, we see him performing his acidic Slim Shady diss.

In the clip, MGK raps, "Somebody help your mans up (help)/Knees weak of old age, the real Slim Shady can't stand up." For those that didn't know, the bar is a reference to Em’s 2000 song “The Real Slim Shady.”

In the caption for the post MGK writes, “never forget. [I] love u DETROIT,” along with the purple devil emoji and the hashtag #HotelDiabloTour. On Sunday (Jan. 2), MGK hopped on his Twitter page to salute the D-Town fans for a wild night. He tweeted, “that was the craziest first show of any tour we’ve done. WHAT UP DETROIT!”

It might be a little surprising to see the audience rapping along to “Rap Devil” in Slim Shady's hometown, but credit goes to Kelly for maintaining his fanbase after his heated rap feud with Eminem last year.

It all started in August 2018 when Em originally dissed MGK on his Kamikaze track "Not Alike". It was in response to what Em felt were subliminal disses to him by Kelly on Tech N9ne's single, "No Reason."

MGK then return fire with his blistering diss track "Rap Devil" where he called Em an insecure old man with subpar lyrical skills. Eminem responded to Kelly with "Killshot."

But that hasn't stopped MGK or Em from slinging barbs at each other during their shows. In fact, at a February concert in Brisbane, Australia, Eminem called Kelly a "cocksucker." He then thanked the Aussie crowd for rocking with him and asked that they make noise for themselves “and make nothing for MGK.”
