Fetty Wap may be in some trouble with the law.

On Friday (June 21), TMZ reports that the New Jersey rapper is under investigation for allegedly assaulting a woman he met after a video shoot.

The accuser filed a police report with the LAPD after the alleged incident took place at a home in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills neighborhood on Wednesday night (June 19). An insider tells the celebrity news site that everything was fine during the video shoot. Afterward, Fetty invited the alleged victim and several other women to a party at an Airbnb. During the evening, the accuser purportedly went into a room with the rapper and that’s when she says the alleged battery took place.

Parts of Fetty's altercation with the alleged victim were reportedly recorded. In a video, you can hear a woman accusing the "Trap Queen" rapper of hitting her before daring him to do it again. As Fetty approaches her, Fetty swipes the phone out of her hand and the video ends.

A source tells TMZ that the accuser's friend was also in the room at the time and may have witnessed the alleged assault. It’s unclear what provoked the purported attack, but the insider tells the outlet that Fetty and the woman got into a heated argument about another woman he invited back to the house.

Authorities are currently investigating and Fetty could possibly face a battery charge. Detectives are reportedly interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence for the case. XXL has reached out to Fetty Wap's camp for comment.
