Trae Tha Truth comes to the rescue once again.

On Wednesday (May 8), Houston's ABC 13 reported that the rapper is helping citizens afflicted by flooding in his home state. Speaking with the outlet, Trae confirms that he was on his way to rescue several middle school students from Porter, Texas' Woodbridge Forrest Middle School. During their video chat, the Houston rapper breaks down how they plan to rescue more people in need.

"We're grabbing the families and transporting them through the areas that have water to get them home," Trae explains. "They are coming back and forth so we're doing a pick-up and drop off. It's hundreds of student still here. Staff still here and everything."

Trae Tha Truth has always kept the people of his community close to his heart. Trae has made a positive impact on the city as a true hometown hero, especially after initiating charity campaigns and giving out 75 scholarships to kids in Houston in 2017. However, after H-Town made plans to present the rapper with the key to the city, the ceremony had to be postponed due to Hurricane Harvey.

In the aftermath of the storm, Trae quickly put together efforts to rescue as many victims as possible. He even hopped on a boat himself and pulled people out of the massive floods. Four months later on Dec. 17, 2017, Trae Tha Truth received his well-deserved key to the city of Houston.

"On TraeDay I Was Declared The First Rapper To Recieve The Key To Tha City... But Because Of Hurricane Harvey , My Ceremony Was Delayed," Trae wrote in the caption of a video showing off the glass key. "Well Today The Mayor And City Officials Presented Me THE Official KEY TO THA CITY!!!! Blessed!! #KingTruth @reliefgang Humbled!! HoUSton This One For You!!!! Throw Them UP!!!!"
