Suigeneris is a living testament of the old adage, "Age ain't nothing but a number." Although only 15 years old, the California native, who raps, “15, making six figures,” has already carved out a successful career for himself. Two years ago, he scored his first viral hit when the video for his song “Pull Up” tallied more that 1.5 million views on YouTube, following its 2017 premiere.

After creating his own wave with popular songs like “Fomx" and “Racks,” Suigeneris dropped his debut project, 2018's The Cheat Code, which put his singsongy, bass-heavy sound on display. He also landed on the radar of YG and Lil Skies, the latter of whom not only collaborated with Sui on “Now,” but also took the talented teen on tour. The “Cashing Out” youth’s most recent body of work, March’s Suinami, continued his hot streak when it pulled in 3.5 million streams in just a week.

Already accomplished, Suigeneris has major plans on the horizon. One thing on his 2019 to-do list is to feed his growing fan base with more music. “I’m trying to get all of the music that is in the vault, out of the vault,” he says. “I want to bring so much more content to my fans.”

Age: 15

Hometown: San Jose, Calif.

I grew up listening to: “A lot of Tupac. That’s my father’s favorite rapper, so I would hear him all the time. I feel like me and 'Pac definitely have a different type of music, but the way he was as a person definitely inspires me.”

My style’s been compared to:  “A lot of people compare me to Lil Skies. They say our music is similar. It might be. I hear it little, but not that much. I do understand why they would say that.”

My standout records to date have been: “I have a few. The most popular is 'Now,' featuring Lil Skies. I dropped that a while back. 'Cashing Out,' featuring HBK, also. I recently dropped 'Lucifer'; that record is going crazy, too."

My most slept-on song is: “Probably 'How I Feel,' from Suinami. I haven’t heard a lot of noise from it. I felt like it was going to be my best one, because I put a lot of meaning into the lyrics and a lot of emotion into the things said. It’s, like, my favorite song on there.”

My standout moments so far have been: “The last two years have been crazy. Going on tour with Lil Skies was a standout moment. The Beachtown Tour with Landon Cube was big. Meeting NBA YoungBoy and making a song with him has been a big moment for me also.”

Most people don’t know: “I be making pop music on the low. I ain’t release any pop songs yet, but I got some pop music. They’re coming. I got a Spanish record. People don’t know about that, but I’m going to let them know soon. I also recorded all of Suinami in my bedroom. Everything was recorded by me. Those are all my lyrics. I write all my music.”

I’m going to blow up because: “I’m different from a lot of the artists out. I’m real young, doing a lot of versatile music. And I’m down to expand what I do. I have Spanish songs, pop songs, sad songs, hype songs. I have so many different types of songs and different sounds.”

I’m going to be the next:XXL Freshman, you know what I’m saying? [Laughs] Well, I hope so, but if not, we’re going to get it next year."
