A man who was shot during the murder of Nipsey Hussle has been arrested for associating with the late rapper.

According to a report TMZ posted on Friday (April 12), 56-year-old Kerry Lathan, who is one of two additional victims shot alongside Nipsey on March 31, was arrested for violating his probation related to a 20-year prison sentence he served for murder. According to the LASD Inmate Information Center, Lathan was booked on April 8.

The arrest was carried out because Lathan associated with a known gang member, which his probation stipulates that he isn't allowed to do. In this case, Nipsey was known for being a member of the Rollin' 60s Crip gang.

Nipsey was shot and killed outside The Marathon Clothing, the retail store he owns, on March 31. Lathan, also shot during the same incident, was rushed to the hospital and treated for his injuries before he was released. He is currently confined to a wheelchair after being shot in the back on the day of the shooting.

Eric Holder, the alleged gunman who murdered Nipsey Hussle and shot Lathan, has been charged with first-degree murder as well as two counts of attempted murder for his involvement in the shooting. At an April 4 hearing, Holder pleaded not guilty and obtained the legal services of Christopher Darden, who famously prosecuted O.J. Simpson during the former NFL player's 1995 murder trial.

A special memorial service for Nipsey Hussle was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on April 11.
