On Nov. 19, 2018, 6ix9ine and several of his reputed associates were indicted on federal racketeering charges. Five months later, six of the 11 defendants have entered a guilty plea in the case.

According to court records, Aaron "Bat" Young changed his not guilty plea to guilty in Manhattan's Thurgood Marshall Courtroom on Friday morning (April 19). Young had originally entered a not guilty plea when he was arraigned on the charges of racketeering, narcotics trafficking and a firearms charge on Dec. 19, 2018, but like 6ix9ine's co-defendants, Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones, Kifano "Shotti" Jordan, Jensel "Ish" Butler, Faheem "Crippy" Walter, he has now reversed course.

This latest guilty plea arrives 11 days after it was reported that Tekashi was devising a plan to get out of federal custody. 6ix9ine's lawyer, Dawn Florio, will reportedly ask a judge to grant the 22-year-old rapper time served if the other men in 6ix9ine's court case accept plea deals and it's determined that there's no reason to go to trial, which is set to start on Sept. 4, 2019.

At the time of his arrest, 6ix9ine was an ascendant but extremely controversial rapper with a knack for creating viral moments and a penchant for mischief. He, along with several of his reputed Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods associates, were arrested for myriad federal racketeering and firearms charges on Nov. 18, 2018. He's been sitting behind bars ever since.

6ix9ine accepted a plea deal for his case on Jan. 23. As a part of his deal, he identified several of his fellow Nine Trey members as people who committed a variety of federal offenses. It's unknown how much time he'll get taken off his sentence, but he could still face a lot of time behind bars.
