R. Kelly has already pleaded not guilty to a new wave of sexual abuse charges in Chicago, but now he's being investigated for alleged sex crimes involving a minor in Detroit.

On Wednesday (March 6), Detroit Police Chief James Craig told CBS 2 in Chicago that they are "eagerly waiting" to speak to the latest alleged victim, who claims she was 13 when the embattled singer allegedly lured her into a hotel in Detroit and had sex with her in 2001. She also says that the singer gave her herpes four years later.

The alleged victim, whose identity hasn't yet been made public, claims she was visiting her mother in Detroit when she came into contact with a friend who happened to be Kelly's assistant. After her first sexual encounter with Kelly in the hotel room, the victim claims she met up with the singer again a few weeks later and had sex with him. Afterward, the woman, who is now 30, said her sexual relationship with Kelly continued for about four years. During that time, the woman claims Kelly gave her herpes when she was 17.

The report of the new charge arrived not long after Kelly made his return to Cook County Jail for failing to pay back child support to his ex-wife Andrea Kelly. Last month, judge Lori Rosen ordered Kelly to pay exactly $161,663 of the $194,000 he owes the mother of his three children by March 6 at 10 a.m. After failing to provide the full amount, Kelly was taken into custody immediately following his hearing.

Kelly hasn't spoken out against the new charge in Detroit, but he did deny any wrongdoing in the all of the other sexual abuse allegations leveled against him in an emotional interview with CBS' Gayle King.
