Chris Brown's friend won't be facing any charges for the alleged rape of a woman who claims the man sexually assaulted her at the singer's home two years ago.

According to a report ABC's local L.A. outlet KABC posted Thursday (Feb. 28), the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced that they aren't planning to file charges against Brown's friend Lowell Grissom Jr., who also goes by his stage name Young Lo, due to insufficient evidence.

In the lawsuit filed in May 2018, the alleged victim, who appears in documents as Jane Doe, claimed Grissom sexually assaulted her after she attended Chris Brown's West Hollywood concert and accepted an invitation to the singer's after-party at a recording studio in February 2017.

The woman's lawyer Gloria Allred claimed that the alleged victim's phone was taken away upon arrival, and the only way she could get it back was by going to Brown's home.

When she got to Brown's house, the alleged victim claims she was sexually assaulted by Grissom and another female multiple times while being imprisoned in one of the bedrooms. Jane Doe claims that once she was able to leave his home, she went straight to a rape treatment center and filed a police report.

According to an L.A. County charge evaluation sheet, the alleged victim did not report her rape to police that night. The DA's office stated that they will not pursue charges against Grissom due to lack of corroborating evidence and holes in the alleged victim's story.

Although the incident allegedly happened inside the singer's home, Brown was named in the lawsuit but wasn't accused or investigated of being involved in the alleged sexually assault.

Brown himself was recently hit with rape allegations in Paris. Parisian authorities released him from jail shortly after detaining him, and they didn't level any charges against the singer, thoug his alleged victim plans to pursue further investigation.
