After announcing his plans to get healthy last month, Lil Xan aka Diego has officially checked himself into rehab. According to a report TMZ posted last night (Dec. 2), the "Betrayed" rapper has been admitted for his first treatment and is immensely grateful for all the support he's received recently. Xan's girlfriend, Annie, gave his fans the update on his rehabilitation in an Instagram post from his account.

"Diego was just admitted into his first treatment," Annie said. "He loves each and every one of you sending good wishes and prayers to him. We thank you all so very much for all of the love and support you are sending his way."

Diego was inspired to come clean about his opioid addictions after the untimely deaths of Mac Miller and Lil Peep, both of whom died of a drug overdose. On Nov. 14, Xan announced his plans to go to rehab in a now-deleted Instagram post.

"I just dropped out of SoundCloud Uni to go to rehab," Xan said in the caption. "I leave in like 5 days And I couldn't be happier with this choice. I love you guys for being so supportive and can't wait too get back clean headed ready to Finish my album!"

After his announcement, Xan opened up to TMZ about his addiction to "a lot of opioids" including Hydrocodone. TMZ also states that Diego had a slight delay in entering rehab because of a small hiccup at the facility where he was supposed to check himself in. Apparently, they had a mix-up with patients staying longer than initially anticipated. After everything was resolved, Xan was allowed to check himself in.
