Months after revealing his PUMA collaboration and celebrating his girlfriend Bella Hadid's birthday, The Weeknd confirms he's back in the lab working on his next album. During a show for the launch of his Toronto-based creative imprint Hxouse, the Canadian born Abel Tesfaye revealed his new album Chapter VI is in the works.

"I want you guys to be the first to know that I'm working on my new album right now," Weeknd told the audience last night (Nov. 6). "Chapter VI coming soon. Let's get it."

Chapter VI will serve as his first album since 2016's Starboy. Although he released his My Dear Melancholy project earlier this year, fans are still waiting on his fourth studio album. After the show, the "I Feel It Coming" singer hopped on Twitter and seemingly hinted at the meaning behind his next LP without giving too much away.

"Some chapters are smaller than others. not this next one though," Abel tweeted.

Abel's announcement comes shortly after he and his "Starboy" collaborators Daft Punk were accused of stealing the song from another singer. Yasminah claims she co-wrote her song "Hooyo" and released the track seven years before the release of "Starboy."

Yasminah says two of her producers have already threatened The Weeknd and the French production duo with lawsuits but chose to settle instead of going to court. Back in September, she claimed she never received her cut from the settlement and is now suing The Weeknd and Daft Punk for at least $5 million.
