Snoop Dogg racks up another major W in a career filled with them. Earlier today (Nov. 19), the Long Beach, Calif. rapper was officially awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Rocking a Gucci sweater and brown jacket in front of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio location, Snoop, who ended up Crip walking on his own star at some point during the ceremony, shared his gratitude over the award. The 16-time Grammy nominee gave thanks to his friends and family for their endless support. Jimmy Kimmel, Quincy Jones and Dr. Dre were in attendance for Snoop's special moment. After shouting out Warren G, his mother, rappers he battled in freestyle battles and more, Snoop gave a shoutout to the good doctor.

"Dr. Dre believed in me when I really wasn't nothing and I'mma say that because I mean that 'cause I really didn't know what I wanted to do," he said. "When Dr. Dre gave me the opportunity, he really—he didn't look at me like somebody that was less than him. He looked at me like an equal and we always been brothers from that day...that was real effective with me because, when you dealin' with a star and you comin' in as a nobody, it's easy for the star to down look you or play you low, but for him to look at me even, that's why we never said no to each other to this day because we always look at each other as brothers and we depend on each other and we need each other."

In the latter part of his acceptance speech, Uncle Snoop made time to give himself a big pat on the back as he looked back on his journey to success.

"I want to thank me for believing in me," he said. "I want to thank me for doing all this hard work. I want to thank me for having no days off. I want to thank me for never quitting. I want to thank me for always being a giver, and trying to give more than I receive. I want to thank me for trying to do more right than wrong. I want to thank me for just being me at all times."

Snoop's star marks the 2,651st star on the famed walk. The "Drop it Like it's Hot" rapper will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut album Doggystyle on Friday (Nov. 23). Doggystyle debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold more than 11 million copies worldwide. Salute to a legend.
