The half-time show for the 2019 Super Bowl might not feature any hip-hop artists, but the Atlanta concert days before it definitely will.  Yesterday (Nov. 5), it was announced that Atlanta Town's finest Ludacris, Migos and Lil Jon will hit the stage alongside a variey of Atlanta-based artists at the EA Sports Bowl Welcome to Atlanta Music Showcase on Jan. 31. The showcase is a segment of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest.

In a press release about the event, Ludacris stresses that this show will celebrate the ATL's "amazing music and culture."

“I’m proud to welcome everyone to Atlanta, my hometown, alongside EA Sports,” Ludacris said yesterday. “You know me and my friends are going to celebrate Atlanta’s amazing music and culture, this is going to be a night you won’t want to miss.”

Along with the rapper turned Fate of the Furious actor, super producer Metro Boomin' and the Quality Control squad Lil Yachty and Lil Baby will also hit the stage. QC's founders Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas are personally ensuring that the show will put on for Atlanta by adding their artists to the lineup.

“Quality Control was born in the streets of Atlanta, so it made sense for us to participate with EA Sports to help showcase Atlanta Hip-Hop as the official kickoff to the biggest sports weekend of the year,” they said in a joint statement.

As for official halftime show, word on the street is Cardi B and Travis Scott are rumored to be performing along with Maroon 5. However, according to Billboard, special guest performances haven't been finalized, yet both artists are still being seriously considered.
