Weeks after showing off his penchant for freestyling during a 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher, YBN Cordae has delivered once again. This time, however, he doesn’t have to fight for the spotlight, taking charge during a recent appearance on Tim Westwood TV.

For this occasion, the Maryland-raised artist was presented the instrumental for Kanye West and Lil Pump’s hit single, “I Love It.” He wastes no time bodying the beat without relying on the inexplicably catchy chorus as filler.

“Whatever happened to quality music/The body of students either high off molly or stupid,” he spits to start. “You niggas wack as hell/And not doing my numbers as far as my eyes can tell /So blind please pass the braille.”

The freestyle goes on for nearly two minutes, with Cordae certainly living up to the reputation he’s been building as one of the most promising up-and-coming MCs in hip-hop.

Earlier this fall, YBN Cordae found himself earning a 50 Cent co-sign. Noticing his talent, the veteran rapper urged Cordae to speak with him before he signs a record deal. For his part, YBN Cordae followed-up by saying, “Fasho” after getting wind of 50 Cent’s comment.
