Sheck Wes has been prepping his forthcoming project, Mudboy, for some time now, and it appears fans will get a chance to hear it in a few days.

Yesterday (Oct. 2), the rapper uploaded a photo of his childhood friend, basketball star Mo Bamba, wearing a shirt with the project's release date, Oct. 5.  Along with the photo on Twitter he wrote "Mixed Mastered and Executively Produced By Sheck Wes."

Today (Oct. 3), he unveiled several promo images for Mudboy, which find him in a tub filled with—hopefully—mud, along with the cover art.

In addition to his posts, Sheck retweeted a tweet from Lil Yachty which reads: "Can't wait for the new Sheck Wes project." The two collaborated on the July single "Niggas Ain't Close," which may appear on his new effort.

Wes will no doubt perform tracks off Mudboy on Travis Scott's Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour. The two will be joined by Gunna, Trippie Redd and guest DJ Virgil Abloh as they perform nationwide. The first show is scheduled for Nov. 8 in Baltimore.

On Sept. 18, the "Mo Bamba" rhymer went on a Twitter rant about the project and Kanye West's lack of involvement. "I wish Kanye was more involved in my career," the Cactus Jack/G.O.O.D. Music/Interscope Records signee tweeted. "Idk wtf he getting into."

"Man when Mudboy comes out then everything will make more sense," he added. Guess we'll better understand where this all stems from on Friday.
