Crowd Dancing to Chief Keef’s “Faneto” Causes Floor to Collapse Leaving 30 Injured

Chief Keef's single "Faneto" has undoubtedly become one of the biggest hip-hop party anthems in recent years and is known for causing chaos at times. Whether just by coincidence or not, chaos certainly took place over the weekend when dozens of young adults were injured as the song played during an off-campus college function.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity held a party outside of South Carolina's Clemson University Saturday night (Oct. 20). Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, "Faneto" began blaring from the speakers, causing attendees to start jumping in the The Woodlands Apartments complex. In several videos from the night, you can see the floor almost immediately cave in, with droves of people falling through the ceiling.

"Everybody was jumping, next thing you know, I'm jumping, I had my hands in the air and I can feel myself falling," attendee Leroy Pearson told WSPA-TV. "Then I wake up, because I blacked out, and there [were] girls everywhere with blood all over their face."

According to CBS News, 30 people were rushed to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Clemson City Police Department says some victims reported broken bones.

Several hours later, Jim Clements, President of Clemson University, tweeted about the incident. "I'm monitoring the situation, and my thoughts and prayers are with all who were injured. Our entire student support system will be available for any student impacted," he wrote.
