October 19 is quickly stacking up to be a big day in hip-hop, as Cypress Hill legend, DJ Muggs, and acclaimed Strong Island MC, Roc Marciano, have just announced that that’s the day they’ll bless our eardrums with a joint effort they’ve appropriately titled Kaos.

Having each dropped major projects within the past two months, Roc with his self-produced Behold a Dark Horse and Muggs with both Cypress Hill’s Elephants on Acid and the Soul Assassins compilation Dia del Asesinato, the duo are making the best of 2018. In fact, they’ll be looking to keep up the momentum into 2019, as Kaos will serve as the original score to a feature film of the same name slated to be released in the spring.

The flick will reportedly be a coming-of-age hood journey, depicting characters “Muggs” and “Roc Marci,” who came up together in New York and were reunited after the Muggs character served 10 years in prison. The album itself is said to be a musical representation of that journey.

The Soul Assassins Records release will offer a special vinyl edition via Rappcats that will be limited to only 400 copies, 100 of which will be held for a special live event being held at the Rappcats shop in L.A. on October 21.

In anticipation of the Kaos’ October 19 release date, Muggs and Roc have dropped the official music video for “Shit I’m On,” one of the album’s featured tracks.
