Some people just have an array of talents, finding their way to success no matter what it is they do. For East St. Louis, Ill. rapper Comethazine, he's done it all at the young age of 19, from making a living working flipping pizzas in a food court, to being a mechanic and making more money than his friends, to racking up millions of YouTube views and SoundCloud streams with his songs like "Bands" and the Ugly God-assisted "Let It Eat." Fresh off the release of his project Bawskee, Comethazine sits down with XXL to talk about his humble beginnings for the Who Am I series.

As a child, Comethazine was a normal kid with a penchant for skateboarding. "Growing up in East St. Louis, it was really what I made it, bruh," he explains. "I grew up in the hood and shit, so I used to go to the suburbs, meet other people and just skate with them niggas." Seems innocent enough, right? "I did a lot of crazy shit, though."

While talking about his old music, Comethazine reveals that he started out creating music more in the vein of a certain Brooklyn hometown hero, much different from his more energy-based sound now. "I used to have a crazy ass flow though; you know, like Pro Era, Joey Bada$$, shit like that," he shares. "I used to kill shit, I still can bro, I still do it sometimes, but I have more fun making the type of music I make now."

Clearly feeling comfortable, Comethazine even admits that he once got into an Uber after being far too high, only to find out there was a karaoke machine in the car. "I used it, like a dumbass," the rhymer admits. "Demi Lovato 'Skyscraper,' Shrek Soundtrack." He's even nice enough to hilariously belt out one of the songs he selected that day.
