It's no secret that Anderson .Paak has a new album on the way and according to the former XXL Freshman, a new song with Kendrick Lamar is coming soon.

.Paak hopped on Instagram on Sunday (Sept. 23) to share a photo of himself and K. Dot sitting next to each other on a bench of car seats ripped out from a vehicle. While the rapper didn't reveal much info about what fans can expect, he did write that the new music would be arriving on Oct. 4.

Although it's uncertain if the song will be featured on .Paak's upcoming album, Oxnard, Dr. Dre recently revealed that he was done mixing the album. "Just finished mixing the album. It's a celebration bitches!!" Dre wrote on Instagram. .Paak later confirmed the news, tweeting, "ALBUM DONE. Time to bring it back home."

Oxnard will serve as a follow-up to the "Bubblin'" rapper's 2016 solo album, MalibuSince then, .Paak has teamed up with Knxwledge to form NxWorries and drop the project Yes Lawd! The record later got a re-release under the name Yes Lawd! Remixes.

As for fans expecting the new Kendrick and .Paak track to be featured on an upcoming Lamar album, don't hold your breath. In an Instagram post earlier this month from Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, the TDE CEO confirmed the rapper doesn't have an album on the way, writing, "KDOT DONT HAVE A  NEW ALBUM COMING NO TIME SOON."
