Kanye West is gearing up to release his third album this year, Yandhi, but it appears he's already aware that it may be overshadowed by Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V. In a tweet posted today (Sept. 27), 'Ye clarified that he realized his and Weezy's drop dates were fairly close, but he isn't sweating it.

"We're releasing Yandhi Saturday night," Kanye wrote. "We know it will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that's lovely. The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time."

Yandhi is set to drop on Sat., Sept. 29, after Kanye's appearance on Saturday Night Live's season 44 premiere. Tha Carter V, on the other hand, is dropping tonight (Sept. 27) at midnight, which also happens to be Lil Wayne's birthday.

Although the albums aren't dropping the same day, they will occupy the same chart weeks, and it looks like Yeezy is already anticipating that Lil Wayne's album will outsell his and debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

It's a welcome change to see Kanye illustrate some humility, something he's noticeably lacked in the past. Also, given that fans have been waiting for nearly five years for Tha Carter V, it's hard to imagine a scenario that doesn't have Wayne's album topping every chart.
