It sounds like Kanye West is preparing for a star-studded performance when he hits the stage on Saturday Night Live, tonight (Sept 29).

West has been in New York City practicing for his upcoming gig. According to TMZ, Lil Pump, Kid Cudi, Teyana Taylor and G.O.O.D. Music artist 070 Shake have been on hand and will perform with the Ye rhymer. Director Spike Jonze is reportedly assisting with the creative direction on the performance.

Despite looking like he is ready to bring the heat, it appears 'Ye was actually the second choice to Ariana Grande, who dropped out for emotional reasons, presumably while she deals with the death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.

The Saturday Night Live performance comes with perfect timing. After the big set, the Chicago rapper will be putting out his second album in three months, Yandhi. The album will presumably feature the Lil Pump collab "I Love It." The new LP is also slated to feature guest appearances from XXXTentacion, 6ix9ine, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

West has had an eventful day already. On Saturday morning, he appeared to announce he might be changing his name on Twitter with a cryptic message. He also invited a homeless man to the studio after hearing him rap on the street.
