With another album set to roll out soon, Kanye West is once again making headlines for controversial statements. Ahead of the release of his Yandhi project, Yeezy hopped on Twitter on Wednesday (Sept. 26) to show his support for A$AP Barithe A$AP Mob co-founder who has been accused of sexual assault.

According to 'Ye, it was Bari who broke him out of his shell and helped him earn a hit song with "I Love It." "🙌🙌🙌💜💜💜 there’s no way I would have the number 1 record in the world without this man here. He broke me out of my pretentious rich nigga shell," Kanye tweeted along with a photo of the two Facetiming.

The "Yikes" rapper then said he was afraid to show his support for Bari when the sexual assault allegations arose and calls it "some pussy shit." 'Ye also showed his support for XXXTentacion, who he said he was afraid to call his friend as well.

"Bari challenged me when no one else did and when he got in trouble I was scared to say he was my friend just like I did with xxx and that was some pussy shit on my part," he tweeted. "I let the perception and the robots control me. That’s the true sunken place."

In another tweet, 'Ye showed his appreciation for Bari and thanked the Vlone co-founder for bringing him closer to A$AP Rocky. "Bari I appreciate your perspective and vision," he continued. "You brought me closer to Rocky too. Jedis never let perception and cancel culture get between them."

Allegations of sexual assault against Bari surfaced in July 2017 when a video leaked appearing to show sexual misconduct between Bari and an unidentified nude woman. According to the woman, Bari demanded sex from her and kicked her out of a hotel room into a hallway while she was naked.

In May, Bari was arrested at Heathrow Airpot in London on charges related to the incident. While it's unclear what happened with the London case, in August, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office revealed it would be dismissing a rape case against Bari because the alleged victim refused to help with the investigation.
