Kanye West is headed to war—retail war, that is. Tomorrow (Sept. 21), Kanye's Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V 2 will go head-to-head with Apple's three new phones, the iPhone XR ($749), iPhone XS ($999) and iPhone XS Max ($1,099) in a battle for retail supremacy. So far, 'Ye sounds ready for the competition.

"Apple and YZY sounds about right," Yeezus wrote in a caption for an Instagram post in which he screenshotted Financial Times' article about his impending battle with the newest additions to the Apple family.

For years now, Yeezys and the annual new edition of the iPhone have stood as emblems of top-notch gear. Kanye's shoes are often bought and resold for high prices, and securing yourself a pair of the kicks is usually a very hard task. While all three of the new iPhones will be readily available for purchase, the prices are definitely eyebrow-raising, even for Apple.

Speaking on ABC's Good Morning America recently, Apple CEO offered up an explanation for the high price of the new iPhones, which can be up to $1,500.

"The phone has replaced your digital camera. You don't have a separate one anymore," Cook explained. "It's replaced your video camera. It's replaced your music player. It's replaced all of these different devices. And so arguably the product is really important. And we've found that people want to have the most innovative product available and with that, it's not cheap to do."
