Young Thug's chart performance should help soothe some of the stress from his legal troubles. The rapper's Slime Language compilation mixtape debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart dated Sept. 1.

The project, featuring Thug alongside artists signed to his label Young Stoner Life Records, becomes the Atlanta native's fifth Top 10 full-length and his first since Super Slimey, last October's joint mixtape with Future, which peaked at No. 2. His last solo album Beautiful Thugger Girls, released last June, peaked at No. 8.

The chart debut comes the same week that Travis Scott's Astroworld fell to No. 2 on the Billboard 200, losing its top spot to Ariana Grande's Sweetener. Nicki Minaj's Queen, Drake's Scorpion and Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys rounded out the top of the chart at Nos. 3, 4 and 5, respectively.

One mixtape cut, "Chanel (Go Get It)" featuring Gunna and Lil Baby, popped up on the Hot 100 chart, debuting at No. 78. Gunna and Lil Baby last made the Hot 100 in June with Baby's song "Life Goes On," also featuring Lil Uzi Vert.

Young Thug was arrested during Slime Language's release party in Los Angeles on Aug. 16 and charged with possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle. TMZ reported yesterday (Aug. 27) that he posted bail for himself and four other individuals charged in the same incident and was released within 12 hours. The case is ongoing.
