Be careful around Wiz Khalifa's weed. That's the message in a new trailer released Monday (Aug. 6) for Kyle's upcoming Netflix film The After Party.

The movie, written and directed by Ian Edelman, stars the "iSpy" spitter as a hopelessly aspiring rapper with fleeting dreams of signing a record deal. He eventually stumbles into viral fame, but not exactly for the right reasons.

From the trailer, the comedy looks to be a savvy tale of internet-era celebrities and the absurdities of the music industry, complete with a bumbling manager, unglamorous day job and ridiculous dance phenomenon. It hits Netflix on Aug. 24.

The After Party is Kyle's acting debut in a feature-length film. The former XXL Freshman stars alongside Teyana Taylor. They're joined by a stacked roster of cameos including Wiz, Pusha-T, French Montana, DJ Khaled, Desiigner, Tee Grizzley and Jadakiss.

Edelman is best known for creating the Kid Cud-starring HBO series How to Make It in America. His script is reportedly based on an idea by late WorldStar Hip Hop founder Lee "Q" O'Denat, whose company helped produce the project.

Off-screen, Kyle dropped his debut album Light of Mine in May. You can watch the new trailer for The After Party below.
