2013: Juicy J drops off Stay Trippy, his third solo album and a reminder of just who owned the strip club anthems.

Preceded by the release of Juicy's Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz-assisted single, "Bandz a Make Her Dance," it was clear that Stay Trippy was going to be filled with bangers. Across 16 tracks, everyone from Justin Timberlake ("The Woods"), to Wiz Khalifa ( "Smoke a Nigga"), to Wale and Trey Songz ("Bounce It") and Jeezy and Big Sean ("Show Out") appeared on the project.

Upon the release of the Juicy LP, XXL described the project as an album that saw Juicy sticking to—and maximizing—his strengths as a hitmaker.

"Stay Trippy is exactly what it needs to be at this point in Juicy’s career. He’s doggedly sticking to his strengths and that persistence works in his favor here," reads our review. "As they enter the late stages of their careers, many artists fall into the trap of pushing a newfound 'maturity' into places that feel dull and lifeless. As a man who is best known for rapping about syrup sipping, it would be lame if Juicy tried to rhyme about the existential angst of purchasing overpriced art. Tax advice rap is not Juicy’s wave, so what we get is a record about what Juicy loves: strippers, drugs and robbing people."

With loads of Juicy's unrepentantly ratchet bars, awesome features and thumping production from the likes of Mike Will Made-It, Young Chop, Lex Luger and more, Stay Trippy was an album that only served to fortify Juicy's standing as one of the very best at what he does.
