Rappers have been trying their hand at rapping for years now, collabing with MCs and forging their own paths in the hip-hop world. Could the next notable hoop and hip-hop connection be a track with Trippie Redd and LeBron James.

While LeBron has never been fully invested in rapping like some other notable names in the NBA, he has dabbled in spitting rhymes, dropping bars over Jay-Z and Rick Ross' "Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit" a couple years back. Trippie was spotted by TMZ in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Friday (July 27) and when asked about his fellow Ohio native's potential after hearing the track and his reviews were positive. "I like this. I would put LeBron on a track," he responded.

Trippie noted The King has all the makings of a good artist and he thinks with fire production and the right lyrics they could put out some dope product. "His voice is nice," Trippie added. "I feel like if I gave him what I wanted him to say on a track, it would go smoothly. Like a intro or just like chant something and go into my part. I think that shit would be fire. Hell yeah. I would do something like Kanye produced it. Kanye on the track and LeBron. That's fire."

Maybe he can get LBJ on his debut album, Life's a Trip, which was recently pushed back to August.
