Gucci Mane Teases ‘Evil Genius’ Album With Cinematic Trailer

Since 2017, Gucci Mane has dropped three projects including Mr. Davis and El Gato: The Human Glacier, but the Atlanta rapper isn't slowing down yet. On Thursday (July 19), the East Atlanta Santa shared a teaser for his upcoming album, Evil Genius.

The trailer features Gucci surrounded by beautiful women partying on a yacht, while action movie trailer music blares in the background. After a few sultry shots of the models, "Evil Genius Album Coming Soon" appears on the screen. Lil Pump also makes a brief cameo. While a release date for the project has yet to be revealed, Guwop assured the album is on its way.

Gucci first teased Evil Genius in late 2017, posting a photo of himself next to a semi-trailer truck and captioning it, "Next solo album #TheEvilGenius." The upcoming album will serve as a follow-up to Guwop's 2017 offering, El Gato. Released on Dec. 22, the 11-track album is produced exclusively by Southside with contributions from Jake One on the songs "Side EFX," "TYT" and "Southside and Guwop (Outro)."

Up next for Gucci, the Atlanta artist reportedly has another project in the works, this time with Asian Doll. According to 1017 Eskimo Records' newest signee, the two are collaborating on a joint project. Speaking with XXL, the rapper said, "We got like two, three songs far."

Asian Doll went on to reveal that she was also in the studio with Playboi Carti, Metro Boomin and more. “I was in the studio with him, Playboi Carti, Offset, Southside and Metro [Boomin]. It was a crazy vibe," she said. "Me, Gucci, Southside and Metro going back and forth on the beat, and me and Gucci in there freestyling back and forth. I’m keeping up with the niggas!”
