The wait for Anderson Paak's major label debut may be coming to an end. Dr. Dre has started mixing the final product, according to an Instagram post by Ty Cannon, Wednesday (July 11).

"Mixing @anderson._paak Album!" Cannon wrote in the caption of a photo of Dre doing work in the studio. He added the hashtags, "#Aftermath #AndersonPaak #DrDre #Frequencies," the latter potentially teasing the project's title.

Cannon, the Head A&R of Aftermath, is responsible for Paak and Dre meeting in the first place. He introduced them during the Compton sessions, which developed into Paak's Aftermath contract, so the man can be reasonably trusted.

Further fueling speculation that a full-length project is on the horizon, Anderson released the single "Bubblin'" in May. While debuting the song on Beats 1, the "Suede" singer-rapper told Zane Lowe that he has "65,000 songs in the vault," and is preparing to release two different albums in 2018 — one without any features, and one backed by his tour band The Free Nationals.

It's unclear which project Dr. Dre was pictured mixing, but it's good to see him back behind the boards. Paak has claimed that the producer is sitting on "hundreds of thousands of songs." Dre's last solo release was his Straight Outta Compton soundtrack, although earlier this year, he teased the possibility that Detox is still in the works. Paak's last album was his 2016 collaboration with Knxwledge, Yes Lawd!.
