With all of the rappers we've lost recently, artists and fans alike are dealing with a lot at the moment. Zoey Dollaz, Florida rapper and friend of slain artist XXXTentacion, decided to drop a song for all of the rappers who passed this year. The track is titled "RIP" and follows Zoey dealing with the pain of death.

Really, the track is for anyone who's lost a loved one. The song is somewhat somber, with the hook centering around the realization that one of his friends is really gone. "I know young'n from around the way/Man I prolly seen him just the other day," he raps, in near disbelief. "Who'da thought you woulda ran away/Man it feel like just the other day/Now I'm screaming R.I.P. my dawg, R.I.P. my dawg."

Later in the song, he goes into more detail, talking about someone close to him that he lost. "Rest in peace my nigga, damn I really miss ya/Swear it fuck me up, every time I see ya picture/Wish had heaven had visitations, just to see ya," are poignant and sincere lyrics, with Zoey simply wanting more time. "But I know you looking down on me/know you don't wanna see this frown on me," is also real and relatable.

Following XXXTentacion's death, 2018 XXL Freshman YBN Nahmir credits a conversation with Zoey Dollaz to helping him get a handle on the situation. "Zoey Dollaz DM'd me, we were like the first people to find out that he really passed away," said Nahmir.

On the music side of things, Zoey still has his Mega EP on the way.
