The 2018 Firefly Festival was supposed to be a weekend of fun in Dover, Del., but the music festival turned fatal when one woman was found dead on the final day of festivities.

According to a June 17 report from WDEL, Dover Police found 20-year-old Caroline Friedman of Philadelphia unresponsive at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday (June 17) in camping lot 18 of the festival grounds. The 20-year-old was taken to the nearby Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at 6:55 a.m.

While a cause of death is currently unknown, police do not expect foul play. Following the death, Firefly issued a statement, saying, “We express our deepest condolences and sympathy to the family and friends of Ms. Friedman. We are fully cooperating with the Dover Police Department with their investigation of this morning’s event.”

Sadly, this comes just a week after a 35-year-old man died at Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee.

Although Firefly takes place at the Dover International Speedway, the festival is known for its campgrounds, as many concertgoers spend the weekend there camping out in tents. This year's festival featured performances from Logic, Lil Xan, Trippie Redd, Eminem, Lil Wayne, PnB Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Warren G and more.

In related music festival news, Lil Wayne was recently added to the lineup for the upcoming 2018 Panorama festival in New York City. Weezy's spot was originally filled by Cardi B, but after the "Bodak Yellow" rapper took a hiatus from performing due to her pregnancy, Wayne was asked to step in.
