Apple Music's Beats 1 radio has added another star(boy) to its lineup. The company announced today (June 6) that The Weeknd will host a new radio show called Memento Mori. The first episode debuts on Friday at noon ET.

There's little information about what to expect from the show, although Abel shared in a press release that he will spin "some of the music that’s been keeping him up late and helping him create some very memorable nights." The "Can't Feel My Face" singer is rumored to be releasing a project soon, so new music feels like a tantalizing possibility, too.

The Weekend joins a stacked roster of artists who have curated and hosted programming on Apple Music's in-house radio station. Vince Staples, Frank Ocean and Drake each have their own shows—SEABS, blonded Radio and OVO Sound Radio, respectively—and have used the platform to highlight rising artists and debut new music, in some cases entire albums.

Abel released his chart-topping EP My Dear Melancholy in March. He's also days away from publishing The Weeknd Presents: Starboy!, a Marvel comic book he co-wrote about a cannibalistic villain named Jack 'The Chef' Smiley who unites all criminal organizations, and a hero named Starboy who tries to save the day.

It's unclear whether either project foreshadows new music, although fans suspect MDM may be the first installment in a new trilogy from the artist behind Trilogy. We'll be tuning in Friday to find out. In the meantime, check out Beats 1's official announcement below.
