Hip-Hop Fans React to the 2018 XXL Freshman Class

The 2018 XXL Freshman Class is officially here, and as is usually the case, fans have a whole lot to say about the latest iteration of XXL's Freshman cover.

The 2018 XXL Freshman Class, which was unveiled today (June 12), is comprised of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.’s Ski Mask The Slump God, Miami’s Lil Pump, Miami’s Smokepurpp, Atlanta’s J.I.D, London’s Stefflon Don, Memphis’ BlocBoy JB, Birmingham, Ala.’s YBN Nahmir, West Palm Beach, Fla.’s Wifisfuneral and Canton, Ohio’s Trippie Redd.

Looking through initial fan reactions, South Florida artists have gotten quite a bit of support. "Actually not mad about the XXL Freshman list," wrote one Twitter user. "Lil Pump, Wifi, Ski Mask, and JID definitely deserve it."

Elsewhere on Twitter, fans offered up some complaints about the list, noting artists they felt should have been on the cover.
