DJ Premier and Royce 5'9" had a few more dates left on their PRhyme 2 Tour but the artists are now putting the trek on hold due to DJ Premier's father's illness.

Preemo broke the news on Monday (June 4), sharing a statement on Instagram and updating his fans on his dad's health. "Throughout the duration of my career, I have taken great pride in the fact that I have perfect attendance and never missed a show or performance,” the DJ wrote. "However, due to my father being extremely sick, we (Royce and I) had to make a very difficult decision to postpone the remaining PRhyme 2 tour dates."

The legendary producer went on to add that Royce was understanding of the decision and said they would reschedule the remaining dates as soon as they can. "My brother Royce was very understanding and supportive of my decision and we will reschedule every postponed date as soon as possible," he added. "Thank you to every single person supporting us and our brand and for understanding.”

Royce also shared DJ Premier's statement on his Instagram account, adding, "Thank you guys for understanding and giving Preem his space during this tuff time... See you soon."

The PRhyme 2 Tour began on May 30 in Philadelphia and was set to start again today (June 5) in New York. PRhyme also had shows scheduled for June 7, June 14 and June 15 in Detroit, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
