The untimely death of XXXTentacion has rattled the hip-hop community, and a handful of artists close to the rapper have shared impassioned tributes to him. Denzel Curry, who knew X for years, now appears to have immortalized the 20-year-old artist with a tattoo.

Late Wednesday night (June 27), the "No Wave" rapper shared a photo of his new ink paying homage to X via Instagram. The tattoo reads "Wing Ridden Angel," on his right forearm in capitalized letters, identical to the ink X bore on his right arm.

The tattoo also references a standout track of the same name by X off the 2015 mixtape Members Only, Vol. 2. The song is written from the point of view of a man who has lost his significant other to suicide. "Hush little angel, don't say a word/Bottle full of pills, passed out on the curb," X sing-raps on the track's opening lines.

X claims to have penned the single as a tribute to his ex Cinthia Perez, a woman he claims stuck by his side through thick and thin. "I wrote WingRiddenAngel for the love of my life, she cried," X shared on Twitter following the song's release in October 2015.

Denzel, however, isn't the only rapper to ink their body in tribute to X. Wifisfuneral recently honored his fallen friend by tattooing "Alone" as well as a broken heart under his eye in a similar fashion to the "Jocelyn Flores" rapper.
