A shooting occurred outside of a Yo Gotti show in Kansas City, Mo. leaving one person dead.

The "Rake It Up" rapper was in town to perform at the Uptown Theater on Friday (May 11). While he was onstage, shots were fired in a nearby parking lot around 11:30 p.m., reports TMZ. According to witnesses, a fight broke out and someone fired off a weapon during the scuffle.

Police and emergency medical vehicles were dispatched to the scene. When they arrived they located a man who had been struck by the gunfire. He was pronounced dead on the scene a short time later. It is unclear whether those involved in the incident had attended the concert, but police believe there is a strong possibility. According to Fox4KC, no information on a suspect or arrest has been released.

Yo Gotti has been quiet on the solo tip in 2018. Feature-wise, he's been a busy man including appearances on Destructo's "Loaded," E-40's "Straight Out the Dirt," Lil Xan's "Betrayed (Remix)" and G-Eazy's "1942."

Gotti's sixth-annual Birthday Bash concert is coming up next month. The showcase is slated for June 28 and is sure to feature plenty of special guests. Lil Wayne was one of the big performers at last year's show. In previous years, Nicki Minaj, Jeezy, Meek Mill, Rich Homie Quan, DeJ Loaf and others have graced the stage.
