Petey Pablo and Neuse River Brewing Company announced their beer collab back in April. Since then, they’ve been hard at work putting the finishing touches on the final product. Now the rapper has debuted the new brew, called Petey's Pale Ale, for the world to taste.

Pablo gave a sneak peak of what’s to come on his Instagram page at the top of May. “I really want to take this time to let everyone know how blessed I feel right now," he wrote in regards to Petey's Pale Ale. “Like I’ve said numerous times before none of this work is easy but Peep Game what worth having is... ‍♂️don’t quit the finish line may be closer than it appears."

The release party for the beer was held over the weekend on Saturday (May 5) at Neuse River Brewing Company's headquarters in North Carolina, Petey's home state.

When it comes to the music, the rhymer has remained mum as of late, having released his last single, "Carolina Colors," in 2016 as the Carolina Panthers appeared at Super Bowl 50. According to his recent statement during a talk with The News & Observer, however, there is a comeback on the horizon. "I still do music," he insisted. "They want me back so I buckle down and get back to it. 'Raise Up' is the most-requested song. It's awesome to have done a song so enormous that 17 years later, it still moves the clubs right along with today's music."

Petey also revealed plans for a local concert after the beer's release, which we can expect in the coming weeks.

The North Carolina rapper, born Moses Barrett III, gained fame back in 2001, with "Rise Up," off his debut album, Diary of a Sinner: 1st Entry. His biggest musical success to date is his 2003 platinum track "Freek-A-Leek."—Safra Ducreay
